Veterans Health Care

The Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides the veterans with a number of medical benefits packages that emphasize on preventive as well as primary care by offering full range outpatient & inpatient services. But the eligibility for the care will depend largely on a person’s income, disability rating, and other factors as well. A person who served as an active duty in the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force or in the Coast Guard, then awarded an honorable discharge even released under an honorable condition is eligible for health care services at VA.
If a person had served after Sep. 1980 for at least 24 months on active duty is eligible for VA health care. If you had served in Reserve or under National Guard and ordered to an active duty, then you are also eligible for health care services at VA. If anybody had served full period and ordered or called to join active duty then awarded with honorable discharge even release under an honorable condition is also eligible for health care services at VA.

Grab the Advantage

The “Choice Card” system at VA was mainly created to provide veterans with an easy access to private health care sector if they are residing within 40 miles or more from any VA hospital or clinic, as well as if they have to face long waiting lists, normally 30 days longer or more to access the VA healthcare services.
